Basement Bathrooms
Adding a bathroom to your basement can be done, but you must tie into an existing drain line. If locate your drain line, try to keep your new bathroom close. This will require less concrete to be broken up, saving you money. You can expect to pay anywhere from $800-$1500 to have a contractor install new drain lines. If you do not want to spend the money, you can elevate your new bathroom. This may not be an option if your basement ceiling is not high enough. Another option is to put in an up-flush toilet. These are inexpensive and easy to install.
